Hi I own AddStarr.com its only been up for about 4 weeks, trying to boost up the traffic, i have about 30 members that signed up and about 25 of them I have no clue how they found my site. And it also seams that many chinese people are signing up, not sure why. But i have a new script platform being made right now because I hate the current one, But it is better then myspace and any other script platform. Anyhow Just wanted to get peoples advise. I am also willing to spend money. Next week adbrite/adwords banners get put out there. But any other ways to help more people draw to the site and alexa rank would be great. Right now the alexa rank is 1.9million but it was 20million 4 weeks ago. Thanks - Josh
you can try submitting your site to social bookmarks such as a digg to get more traffic, also if you want to increase your alexa ranking you can download the alexa toolbar and surf your site every day, that should help increase it
Make a site with free stuff for profiles (graphics etc) and make half of the copy-paste codes lead back to that site, while the other half lead to your new network. Promote the hell out of it to young teen females. Worth a shot.
china has just about the freest internet connection on planet earth, The bad thing major search engines like Google don't give any credit for china ip's like if you are running a free web hosting business with chinese users you will make NOTHING off your ads. Be careful, There are very liberal laws on internet use there so a lot of hackers and schemes seem to come from there. talking from personal experience
Liberal laws on the internet in China? I thought half of the sites on the web were blocked by the Chinese Government?
have you tried directory submissions and posting ads, article submissions and social bookmarks also a big help. try doing those and it will help you boost your traffic.
