As of the present time there are two popular tools in beta stage that can convert Flash animations into HTML5.

    1. Google Swiffy: This is an online tool where you can upload .swf files and it will convert to an index.html page that you cna download.

    2. Adobe Wallaby: This is a beta software that converts .fla files into HTML5. You can download a trial version for free from Adobe

But obviously are not without their bugs and limitations. One major is that neither tools support ActionScript3. Even though but are still a work in progress, I recommend trying them out, especially Google's Swiffy just to see what a flash animation might look like.

Curious to know if anyone else knows any tools for converting Flash to HTML5 or has experimented with the above tools.

I've always said I only come to DP for the laughs but, in all the years I've come here, this is the first useful post I have seen.

Thanks for the tips . If I remember correctly Flash CS6 will have such a tool incorporated , in the mean time anyone developing for the iPhone/iPad should be glad to have these tools available .

CS6 will probably have tools for converting flash to HTML5 along with a whole bunch of stuff for creating HTML5 content. Adobe Edge which is in beta also and can be downloaded right now to test-out for free, will hopefully be finalized and incorporated in CS6. But the software is still a bit wonky but makes the learning curve easier if you are familiar with flash.

flash is a great tool for online design portfolios and executing style over a medium which is non-personal.

i think its even better that it will export to html5. more options = freedom
