Ok, so let`s say I`ve made the mistake of sending too much backlinks to my homepage and using them with only 1 or 2 variations of anchor texts. Now, because I`ve heard that the PENGUIN Update can get you in trouble if you`ve done this, let`s say I want to get rid of all these backlinks. What happens if I can`t get rid of all of them because, let`s say, some webmasters don`t get back to me with a positive answer to my issue. How can I force that backlink to come down? Is there any way by simply using my "Webmasters Tools" Control Panel or perhaps to do it directly with Google...completing a form of something like that? Any info regarding this issue will be much appreciated...Thank you !!!
I would just concentrate on building better backlinks moving forward so it will not matter in the long run
Thanx guys! I guess I`ll just go forward trying to avoid the same mistakes. Thank you for yr thoughts....
mm... You can take two paths: You will need to grab your incoming links reports from Google and Bing Webmaster sections, and start contacting each webmaster to make some changes. I don't see any other option.
I would have to say , this issue about Penguin backlinks is getting pretty ridiculous as you cannot ever control on who is linking to you. So the best Google can do is to detect paid backlinks from backlinks company network. So I suppose once you stopped getting these companies services, the links would then stop right? If there are still backlinks then just consider it a small mistake in the past and continue to proceed with proper white hat links to nullify the once previously.
Concentrate on just building the relevant backlinks.Moving on further can help you better. Its difficult to fix that problem.
Thank you ! I`ve analyzed the problem and decided that is better to just leave them alone and move forward....trying to avoid the same mistake....
I totally agree with, i have seen some autoblog site linking to my post and these are beyond webmaster's control. i think we should ask about this in Google webmaster product forum.
Depends what kind of links they are. It's always worth emailing the webmaster or editor and seeing if they can remove the link(s).
