Anyone who believes matt cutts and reads his blog is one stupid camper Geeezz guys I thought you were brighter than that... Haven't anyone realized that he is always trying to direct the attention of the webmasters to something that isn't actually important ?
I've got some .gov and .edu links with a short and to the point message that states why my site would be valuable to their visitors then ask for the link. The extra benefit from them is that they generate traffic from people actually looking for the topic.
