Ummmm...stay within the law? Document your employees, and don't hire anyone underage.

Pretty simple, IMHO Of all industry regulations, I don't think this is one you want to skirt, unless you won't mind when the federal marshals are knocking down your door...

Get a good lawyer that specializes in such things. Ignore all comments coming from people that won't stand beside you in court.

Yes, 2257 is the law that requires producers to document the age of their models. Not one to circumvent, IMHO

documentation has to be kept.. you can create a 2257 page linking to the custodian of records for the sources of your videos. thats the best way around it.

if you are just using the embed code from other sites then it is up to that site to make sure all models are the right age

Was just about to say it. You have nothing to worry about since the content is not hosted by you.

Good Luck in the adult industry.

Obviously because he doesn't have the documentation of the models that appear on his site since the content isn't his.

2257 is very annoying, not because porn webmasters want to put child porn on their sites, but because of the nature of content (often borrowed from elsewhere) it is impossible to keep records of every single model on a site that may have thousands of different movies/pics/ect.

I am running a porn site, and my dedicated server datacenter at germany. Do i need to include the 2257 compliance on my website? I am not a USA resident.

    Please advice. Thanks!

This right here is exactly what you need to do. This SHOULD help you out with your issue.

@ above poster, not, you don't need it, as you are not subject to US Laws. Why do people actually ask these types of questions?

Largely because they think the entire world has the same laws at the US. Since you are a German based company, you need to research the pornography laws that apply.

Now that would of course be different had your host been located in the US. In which case you would be responsible for complying with applicable US codes.

Also, you should check your service providers TOS. I personally would not be surprised if they may actually prohibit you from linking/embeding content which you are not the original owner of.
