Way to delete traces of a program which uses a trial date

    Hi there,

I've got some programs that expire after a set amount of days, and when I've used them for 30 days I wont be able to use them again. Is there a way of deleting the program completely from the computer, so there is no traces left behind, so that I can re-install the trial and continue again?

    Thanks for any help.

The process is called cracking. Really difficult in some cases and very much illegal. :)

I've heard about cracking before, but surely there is a simpler way of just deleting the trace of the program from the registry? Or a program that can do this?

that is actually cheating, but then it works.
    here are a few methods:
    1) uninstall it, then go to registry[regedit] and there go to view, find, and search by the game's name etc, so that you get the keys to delete, do a backup of your registry, most times it crashes the system!

    2) buy the full verson!

    3) download more than one exe, i have seen that a same 30 day game, works again, if you download the exe again! works sometime, not all times!

    4) full system format! this works always:p

    5) install in more than one os, i had 98, 2000, and xp installed in the system, so i played a game for 3 hours, was actually ment for one hour! cheers!

but then if that is really important, you should consider to buy it, i have bought a few games myself! and am pretty happy contruibuting some money to the maker of such usful stuffs!!:D :)

Well done :D I know it can be tempting when the cracks are out there online - but it is rewarding to be able to support the makers of the stuff :)

Actually proebook, you are wrong. You cannot actually delete anything from your computer. Every single file you ever have on yuor computer, including things you look at on the internet are forever storred on your harddrive. When you delete them it simply shrinks them to the smallest possible file they can be, and the police have software that can extract damn near every single file to ever make its way onto a hard drive. You can buy copies of the software also, incase your computer crashes and you "loose" everything... so no... you have no way to delete that f*** from your own PC.

    Sorry dude.

No its means the people who know how to do it can take any hard drive and retrive every file that has even been stored on it. It can't fix your hard drive, just find out what you kept on it.

Probably not... the only way I could possibly think you could do it would be to make a partition on your hard drive just for that software, install it on the partition use it for the trial, delete the partition and make a new parition and install it again.

Other than that I think your up the creek without a paddle.
