Water Cooling computer system - OK I have a few fans on my computer and they do make a bit of noise ( very little but enough ) So I was thinking about installing a computer water cooling system as would like a quiet system for cooling my computer Has anyone got and installed computer water cooling system , are they any good or just a bit of a toy THank you for your time
I personally wouldn't install a water cooling system.... I wouldn't risk the danger...lol...water and motherboard...ouch...lol....i have an athlon xp 1800+(yeah...i know...old)...but im running stock cooling and I've OC'd a little...idle temp 37 C and at full load 47 C...
They're very inconvenient to set up. And they require a bit of upkeep too. Not to mention, lots of money for a good system. If you want a cool computer without all the noise, buy a good power supply, CPU fan and silent case fans. It won't be completely quiet, but it's better than dealing with water cooling.
Another thing to lookout for with water cooling is that all companies that sell the parts only have a warranty on their item and not the whole system you install it on. So if a simple leak starts from poor tubing, your expensive system goes down the drain (no pun intended).
