Got validated on 02/01/05 I carry 5 banners on each of my pages throughout the website I have noticed that in 3 days of having the ads display: As of 02/04/05 I have lost 1 link back in Yahoo I have lost 26 link backs in Google I have gained 215 link backs in MSN. Has anyone else seen similar results?
several months ago i lost about 50% of my Google back links and 90% of my Alexa backlinks ... also many Y backlinks the traffic still goes on and UP the actual number of real backlinks is far ( multiple ) above the official G or Alexa back link numbers while such reduced G backlinks number affect PR - it apparently never affects actual real site visitors/traffic among many other back links - almost all ( more than 90% ) of the previsouly listed/accounted backlinks from DP have disappeared in G backlink listing counted toward total backlinks also i have noticed that Yahoo and Google for the very first time have exactly same number of back links ... something that never occurred in previous years
Yes, MSN will show the COOP links first....I doubt they have even started to show in the other SE's so soon.
After 6 days in the network, here is what I have noticed: Google Backlinks: Dropped 19 links Yahoo Backlinks: Gained 8 links MSN Backlinks: Gained just under 1700 links (Kicking @§§ in MSN) However I have not seen in rank increase. In fact, my AllinAnchor in Google is 8 for the keyword phrase I am listed for out of 7,160,000 and we have dropped off the face of the earth for that keyword phrase. (I think that is just Google doing updating however)
Oh, I know... I wasn't doing this out of being impatient. I have seen several threads of people asking if this works and people telling them what they have seen after 6 weeks and after 2 weeks etc etc etc.... There isn't one that tells people almost day by day how what they are seeing. I am providing this for the new people that are coming along.
How many ads have you created to run in the network? (IE how many different ads point to your site) And do they all point to the same page?
We have 4 banner ads with the ALT text = Main Keyword Phrase 3.8% We have 1 text banner with the anchor = Main Keyword Phrase 46.2% We have 1 other text banner with the anchor = Secondary Keyword Phrase 38.5% Yes, they all point to the same page
Change it up - point to pages inside your site, and change the link text / location often (Every other week?) so that pages get indexed with unique links and anchors rather than 100's of identical links. Google might be seeing those as spammy?
Well, an update to everyone: Our Main Keyword phrase that we were going after in 8 days we are now number 42 in Google for that keyword phrase. For a year I have not been able to get past number 200 for that same keyword phrase. Thank You Shawn . Google Link: Still Down 20 however read above Yahoo Links: This is strange.... linkdomain:www.worldfamousgiftbaskets.net reports something different than link: www.worldfamousgiftbaskets.net in yahoo.... MSN: Gained 2300 backlinks in 8 days. According to www.mcdar.net we are up around 3000 link from where we were at in just 8 days. Thank You Shawn.
Well, if this isn't proof enough for the people just thinking out there.. 9 days In MSN we have now gained over 3000 backlinks In google we actually dropped 2 however are now at 32 for our main keyword phrase In Yahoo we are maintaining steady all the way around. No backlinks gained and no rise above the 30 placement at this time. We have a weight of 18k. I am using 46% of that to get the placement where we are at. So, if you had to work this on a percentage basis Our search term has 7,180,000 in competition. Judging by what I have seen, a weight of around 12,000 will get you to the top within a week or so for 1 competitive keyword phrase. You could of course get a mulititude of less competitive keyword phrases with that as well. (There are exceptions to every rule)
I'm now #1 Google UK and #1 Yahoo world wide and #9 MSN world wide for a very competitive, 5000 + world wide Overture Inventory searches 2 word KW phrase. I chucked 20% of an average of 14K weight at it plus a few variations. This took 7 weeks to accomplish.
Would u compete on your competitors name as well? I have noticed as mentioned earlier before that it is as best to compete on two or three keywords phrases then just one single keyword.
I am not sure what you mean..... My figure just shows the amount of time vs. keyword weight for a single keyword. Stephaneggy- I would need to know how long it took you to get that ranking from the time you started before I can figure an estimate. If I had to guess I would say 5-7 days. Is that correct? So this would play right along with the average. 20% of 14,000 = 2800 weight = 7 weeks... for how much competition Top 30? What I have noticed thus far with the two keyword phrases I have targeted, (as a rule of thumb, there are exceptions to every rule) depending ont he amount of competition out there, depends on how much weight to use for a single keyword phrase on how fast you want to get to the top. I have seen if they have 8000 weight per keyword phrase they will make it up to the 3rd page rather quickly. If they have more weight than that they will make that up rather quickly. Don't forget about the red flags that are menitoned throughout these forums that might notify G that you are gaining links to fast however, we have not been kicked out for the week. So based upon that, and this could be way off but this is what I have seen; it makes sense that it you utilize 12k per keyword phrase for very competitive keyword phrases then you should be number one or on the first page for those keyword phrases within a couple of weeks. You may want to tone that down to 8-10k as to not set off any potential red flags looking for that kind of activity. I have sponsored someone with a brand new website and as soon as Google walks his pages I will be able to tell you whether my previous theory is true or whether the sandbox theory shall hold true once again. Any takers on whether or not his website will get sandboxed even though he is in this network or he will soon be on the first page for his competitive keyword phrase?
