Watching Google Trends?

    Hello,

I'd like to monitor Google Trends every day for 1-2 months to see what types of terms (if any) show up multiple times. I'm sure there has to be a way to streamline this process. Does anyone know of a firefox plugin that would make exporting the 100 terms easy? Perhaps exporting to a searchable format (pdf or word document)? I'd also like to be able to check all of these files for terms that occur in more than one document - Does anyone have an idea of a good way to do this? Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Not sure if anyone has made a plugin or similar, but it is a good idea.

I am not sure if this is possible, but is there a way to do something with the RSS feed?
There may be some plugin that will save RSS feeds to some sort of document. (maybe as an offline webpage)

    Cheers

I heard of someone setting up a MySQL database that automatically fetched the RSS feed every day and then looked for duplicate entries. He'd then use this data to create micro niche blogs. I'm just doing this to watch for trends that pop up multiple times over the span of several weeks, out of personal curiosity if nothing else.

Anyone else have any idea how to do this?

I don't need to automatically fetch the data every day, I wouldn't mind exporting it manually to an Excel spreadsheet every day if it was easy. Is this possible?

It is a good idea but I'm not sure if you could rely on everything since most of the sites that are using it have lots of back links.

I've created a site that could sorta do that.

It basically is a research tool I created for myself to give me information about each hot trend keyword so I could write quick blog posts about it.

It's not that old, but I have it setup to keep the last 30 days worth of keywords. And the site is searchable.

So, for example, if you searched 'Hurricane', you'd see all the hot trends keywords where the word 'hurricane' appeared.

And for each individual keyword phrase, I have blog posts/forum threads/news articles/youtube videos, etc., for researching each phrase.

    The tool is here:
