Watch your competition - the lazy way

    I've used the only real research engine from Copernic for years and a while back they issued a new tool.
    Copernic Tracker @ http://www.copernic.com.

    I don't know how I lived without it as for a meare $49 (after 30 days) I get any movement on main competition pages delivered to me by mail each morning.

    Using this I can see development of pages over time and track changes and compare this to what we do. It highlights all the changes including word counts etc.
    It also tracks images and links.

    If you know your own textual components it is easy to spot when competitors use bits or sometimes all of your textual elements and one can send them a polite f*** off mail and see if they react/panic.....

    It'a also a great tool to show potential clients that pages are "alive" and not a post and forget thing.

    It's a great timesaver and great fun as well.

    PS I don't normaly do commercial advertising but their professional agent is still the best SE about.

    The only thing I do not like about the copernic set of tools is there is no Google. I remember when the original product came out it included Google, now no. Good tools though.

    True but maybe if some more people write in suggesting usage of API and/or license key they may be able to re include.
