Anyone here watch "The office"? Us version. I got into it last week and its hilarious. I have bought season 1-3 in the last few days and have stayed on the lounge watching it. A shame about the writers strike but are there many office fans here. ?
Its a comedy about workers in an office under a crazy funny boss. And that boss is an awesome comedy actor in Steve Carrell lol.
This show is so great! I've almost finished watching season 4 (maybe get the last 4 eps done tomorrow). Every episode is just hilarious. And Dwight is priceless!
LOL Dwight. Hes so dumb and funny. Michael is probably up there as my second favourite character. But this is the funniest show on television, im upset i didn't discover it earlier though.
haven't watched the US version yet but if its anything like the UK version its fantastic, so true to life!!!
I loved the original version. The US version is better than I thought it would be, but it's still a rehash. I don't understand why the US needs to remake things for US audiences. Can't they understand "English"? What's next.. Fawlty Towers USA?
I recently got into The Office US series aswell I've purchased season 1 and 2 and watched them on marathon rounds as soon as i got them xD unfortunately. . season 3 isn't released here in Australia . . I lose.
I don't like the Office (UK), mainly cause I don't like Ricky Gervais, he's not even funny... Think it's cause they like things about US people more than things about people in other countries, from my experience the people who make the TV in the US are quite xenophobic.
I spend half the year in OZ. I bought season three from Ebay. And its pretty easy to change the regional code on the DVD player. It can be done lol.
He's not meant to be funny in this show. His purpose was to grate on your nerves, for which he does very very well. Makes you want to keep watching to see if he can be more annoying to his colleagues.
The original would have needed a laugh track to let the Americans know when Ricky Gervais was 'being funny'.
Even his stand up isn't funny. Well I don't find it funny, maybe one or two small laughs in the 2 hours or so that his stand up lasts. Now if I go to a comedy show I expect to laugh a good amount of it, it's not hard to make me laugh, but he just doesn't achieve it for me.
but pam beesley is not in UK version. She is hot. btw, even the story is the same, you can see the different between office in two different country. They should make one for every country
