i purchased a sudoku site a couple of months ago right here on DP.
    it's a sudoku site ; www.startsudoku.com
as i was browsing the forum a few minutes ago i found a thread that caught my eye.
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=850729

this guy is selling the exact same site as i have.
the only difference is that he bought a different domain.
he didn't even take the time or have the minimal thought of changing the header of the site!

    how can i stop him?

this has really pissed me off!!!

Wow thats a huge problem. I think you should give him a negative itrader with the heading that 'if you buy anything from him, he will scam you' or 'scammer, big time, stay away, u can pm me for details!' . At least people wont be falling in this trap in the future.

Yes, but first I would contact him directly. He might not want to have an issue. He may think this is okay, and in fact, if you did not mention anything about copyrights during the sale, it could very well be within his rights...

Looks like the terms of the original sale included the following:

"You are bidding on a unique site and will receive full resale rights to the design, so feel free to create your own sites based on this smooth and elegant creation. The buyer receives a superb .com domain that is memorable and qualitative and a site that requires no maintainance at all."

If it is unique and he had rights to the design, nobody else should have been able to own or obtain a copy. The seller of this second site is not the same as the person who sold you your site. It is not clear if he was scammed also. But, one thing is clear, you alone have the rights to that design.

The only mistake I made is that I didn't change the site logo and domain name on the page.

I got the script from my friend and uploaded it onto my hosting directly.

Now I modified the logo and some content.

And I decided not to sell this website, I will give the site script to anyone for TOTALLY FREE! Just PM me! :D

I will not make money from it, Now it's OK, Right!

who is the "friend" that gave you the script?
you didn't get only the script, you got the entire website!

i just hope that you won't try anything like this again and that future buyers won't fall into your scam again.
good luck with your "new site"
