I was recently scammed for my domain name, ps-4.com. If anyone has seen or sees this domain for sale please contact me immediately at snowboarder9736(at)msn(dot)com. The phone number for the whois is bogus and I'm working on tracking down the IP, address. (It's a bit easier when your dad works for the government.. lol) So keep an eye out for me please. Thanks.
We made an agreement to buy/sell for $850. I received the money on paypal so i transfered the domain. About 10 minutes later paypal puts the funds on hold and then sent them back to him.
And that's why you need to learn to use escrow for large transaction especially domains, and also not to double post.
I'm sorry to hear about that but thank you for sharing maybe your post will keep someone else from being ripped off
Surprisingly enough, i think I'm in the process of getting my domain name back. I had the person who had their paypal account hijacked call godaddy and straighten things up. As of now, the account info is under go daddy's information. Even if i don't get it back, at least that scumbag who stole it doesn't have it anymore.
oh,my god!i buy this domain at ebay though auction! i paid him $151 at may,20 ,but item not reseived! see this: This item has been paid through PayPal. Payment was sent to: kayos@yahoo.com on May-20-08. url: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=200223771229&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=010
now im real pissed that he's gettin away with making money off it and paypal and ebay wont do shit about it Oh, and as you can tell, i haven't gotten it back yet. I think some guy was just dickin around with me.
WoW, so sorry to hear that! I hope that scumbag gets 10years. hope you get back your domain because its a gold mine
I could go to court over it and easily get it back, but its not worth it. The domain is worth 1,000 at most, and the court fee's alone could be that. Furthermore, he's from a different country, so i have no idea how we can even get to him. Also, just to update everyone, I did not fall for his little "buy my domain" on ebay scam. I was the original owner of this domain name. He offered to buy it for $800 and did so with a stolen paypal account, so i lost the domain and the money. I wish i knew about godaddy's transfer service at the time, because i thought paypal was secure enough to do something like this. Learned my lesson i guess, considering i only paid $7 to register the domain, I'm not too upset, but i lost out on $800.
