just wanted to let everyone know to watch out for user- lsampathl he has hacked my hosting account i paid for a year and i have like 4 domains under that account!!

he has hacked and changed all my contact info, email, etc.. has the domains in his name right now as well.. he also threatened to sell the sites and domains for $300 or so... unless i give him a laptop or i give him $200 or so.... that is just ridiculous!

i contacted siteground about this and all they mentioned was $ that they need and how they transferred it to the law department or what ever.. i dont know what to do..

i have ALL THE EMAILS from him saying he has and hacked my account and threatens to sell it all...

if i cant do anything i just want DP to be aware.. dont want this happening to anybody :(

Hacking is illegal in any country! Send the emails to the relevant authorities immediately!

Forget Siteground, you have notified them already. Contact the federal departments in your area and his (if you know where he is located) and give them all the information you have. This is not only hacking, this is theft. Also send a notification (in writing) that you have forwarded details to the relevant authorities, and that may speed things up with them. Don't much around with it - every day you delay is another day lost. If you have PROOF - use it!

i dont know anything about india.. that is where he lives... i dont know how to contact them... siteground told me this... your case has been escalated to our legal representative.. I can assure you our attorney is taking this matter really seriously the tech person on siteground said..

here is his EXACT words i copied from the last email..

Its not a big deal for me to use pathetic language. Its 300$ now.. Get it or loose it.. I dont have be fair to you anymore.. You're invited to try the best possible way that can help you. May be law or DP or something other. Do you know that i legally own that domain name. I can provide you hosting for 10 more domains. Hosting is not a problem for me. Reply back when you have money in your paypal account. Dont waste my time anymore..

    See ya!! If possible

Geez another one from India! That will be the second this week that I have dealt with from that country. Seems the natives are getting switched on about the ways of west! Anyway, there must be more to this than what is posted here.

Why would he be so blatant about extorting money from you? Do you owe him any money?

Were you partners or connected in some way previously?

how did he get your hosting account name and password?

there seems to be a lot of open spaces that need filling up.

    What are the domain names?
