    Can anyone recommend a software to see if there are any problems with my website?

    For example, if my website become unavailable to my visitors, I can receive a piece of short message or an email...

    Appreciate it a lot!

    For a free one I could recommend Integrio uptime scout. I've used it before, it was small/lightweight, and you can setup notifications via email.

    I think the OP requested software, not service, however that's a great list none the less! I can also suggest hyperspin.com, I've been satisfied with their services as well.
