just curious to know wat pricing level is comfortable for most for a paid directory basic listing probably a price u wont hesitate to give for permenant links " For a new paid web directory " select your poll also provide your opinions.
It depends on various factors. 1- How old that paid directory? 2- What page rank of home page of the directory and what are page ranks of inside pages? I think paid directory with avg. page rank (PR4 or PR5), should cost $5 per link (one time fee)
For a new paid directory, if it looks original and well-maintained, not too crowded, with appropriate catgeories....I would pay up to 10 dollars for perm link.
$10 would be a comfortable price, so long as the directory was newly converted to paid, rather than outright new. In other words, I wouldn't consider paying anything to be included in a directory with no track record. It's not just about PR. There has to be some evidence of promotion, traffic levels, and directory maintenance. I think it's good to show stats of how many sites are pending, how many get reviewed each month, acceptance rates, directory growth, and so forth. This all adds to the picture of how well maintained it is now, and so long as the directory doesn't change hands it helps me figure out the confidence level I would have in paying for a listing.
I am soon to pay for multi directory placement witht he same company in all about 25 site the cost is just $29.95 per year per keyword.
Directory pricing structure shld depend on a number of factors: 1. PR of the directory 2. Categories in the directory (can u submit urs easily) 3. Search Engine Friendliness (Is the directory providing a clear link, and are the URLs dynamic or static) 4. PR of the page where you want to get listed 5. Is it a one time/lifetime fee or yearly cost? 6. Kind of link texts they allow (usually directories allow only the website name to be used in the Title) 7. Age of the directory 8. Traffic / Users that directory gets 9. Are free links also allowed in the directory (If they are allowed, you might as well go for free links ) So if all these factors are good enough, I think $20 is a good enough price.
Voted 10$ - I think that's a fair price for a new directory. Provided it's well designed, well structured, it's a static link and I can write something meaningful in the title of the link.
thankyou all for your reply i would like more members to participate poll, as data will be helpful to directory developers.
