Hello, something strange seemed to happen at zanzhosting.co.uk. The server load was almost 40, from the usual 0.20, and now it just says cpanel & apache have been installed. I don't know much about servers, but i know this must have been a DDOS, and i'm wondering if anyone has any information on what happened.
that sux...sounds like their stuff has been wiped, a few years ago I was on a shared hosting plan, and the server was "wiped" accidentally by the datacenter...had the same issues as you - so it may not have been an attack but it is still a higher possibility that it was hope you get it fixed though, did you have backups?
No it isn't hacked. I'm not support, but I am hosted with Zanz. They are just going to downsize their hosting. It isn't going to effect any of us who have paid for hosting, only those who used Zanzhosting as a free member on Zanz's post2host site that he ran. So if you paid, you should be fine.
so they took off their main page? Atleast my site i had hosted with them is still up, and i hope it'll stay up.
Hello, Sorry for this late reply, we have only just seen this. There was an issue with our main site zanzhosting.com for a little while yesterday, this does not appear to have been hacked though. All clients websites were not affected only our main one was affected. Sorry for any inconvenience, everything has been fixed now. Zanz Hosting
