I've heard of people's websites being affected by Google dance over the 4th of July weekend. Did yours drop, go up, or stay the same in the SERPs?

A lot of US sites experience traffic drops on summer holidays. It's not Google. It's the fact that people are outside grilling food and staring at fireworks.

Beer sales also increase over the 4th. That's not Google's fault, either.

Def saw a decrease in my traffic, but for the same reasons, expect less traffic on Friday and Saturday nights.

sites did not change, traffic was less, but it was a long weekend so it was expected. Did your position change in google over the long weekend?

It was pretty obvious to get less traffic as compared to other days if your target audience is USA based...
