I recently posted a thread looking for a custom wordpress theme designer. I got like 30+ PM's offering services to me. I went thru all of them and replied to many of them with questions and courtesy replies like: "No thank you, I can not afford your rates" or "I think I will go with a diff. forum member to do this one, thanks" Well I replied to one guy in India after getting an offer from him. He told me his prices to design the theme and I told him I would need him to make it ready to upload and activate as my theme, He told me it would be an additional $80 to upload it for me or to make it "ready to upload in to my themes folder". I then replied with what is below: I am not going to use you for this one. I have like 40 people willing to do it and 6 or 7 of them very reputable and with perfect portfolios... They only want $50-$90 to do the entire job the way I want it. Thank You... The guy replies to that with this: okay then .. go and get the job done by themselves. i am not interested to do the job for clients like u.. will create headaches in the middle or later This guy seemed very rude to me in his reply, and ruined his chances of doing any future work for me. Why would he say something like that based off of what I sent him. I was only telling the guy I was going with a diff. person. This guy had no portfolio other than 3 of his own poorly designed sites, he had no (very little) iTrader feedback, he wanted more than everyone else, he wanted to charge an additional $80 to do something that should be included in creating a custom wordpress theme. This is why I didnt want to use him, so I said what I said above as you see.
