I opened a streaming movie blog, mainly for my own use at work, but I plan to market it out a little bit. Anyways, while looking at the code for the movies, I noticed you could add your own little site to the bottom right of each video, so I went ahead and added ChronicForum.com, my other new site, which I am desperately trying to get new members for, but it has only been open for a few days. So was it a good idea to add my site to the video, can that actually increase traffic or does it make the video look bad?
If you make link big enough that it could raed and small enough not get people pissed of i think it would be ok. When i see video with url, i usually don't mind that, i think that it is even better that people in some way "sign" their work. The only propblem could be legal issues if you are using videos made by someone else ... however i am not an expert on that.
If it's related and you.ve explained the relevance and the benefit on the site for users then this can be powerful, keep relevance in mind. e.g. people looking at bodybuilding articles will like a website about supplements etc
Add a link in the end of each video. Let the video finish playing and make link related to a video theme appear. I'd so if I could Usually banners while playing video annoys.
