Was the Directory Submission Service by rana_sandhya a scam?

    I did a 200 directory submission thing with rana_sandhya from this thread
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=211407

    I started seeing backlinks but now, two months later they are all gone. No backlinks at all. And rana_sandhya is banned.

    This was not a MFA site but a real brick and mortar business.

    Are these directory submission services worthless or was this a scam? Or is there some other explanation?

    Seems like he/she did some nice work, 33 positive itrader here, but Last Activity: Apr 26th 2007 8:48 pm. Maybe a mod can help find you why he/she was banned. What was the URL of the site u got the directory submissions for ? Maybe you should check backlinks at yahoo to see if they are still there. Directory submitters usually do not have control over 3rd party free directories. So your listings actually disappearing may not be the case, they not showing up as backlinks is a different thing altogether.
