I have an affiliate site up that I hired somebody to build links for. They seemed scammy but was charging a pittance for 100 links and I thought "Why not?" Last night I got their report that said they submitted my site to 104 directories, but all in the wrong categories, they put my link into wedding and shopping categories while my site is business and internet marketing. (Will this hurt my rankings?) I then got on webmaster tools to see if it hurt anything and noticed a second verified email on my account that wasn't there before and I did not put there. So far all I've done is change my email password, but is there anything else anyone can think of? Did I get hacked?
