This is all well and good, but people aren't going to stay on a forum where anyone with $20 can post a marketplace thread. Such a poor decision. Everyone will be off to Black Hat World ahha x
I think freelancer bought warriorforum because they are killing their competition very smartly and making more space for their own freelancing and bidding business.
if we look from 1 site 3.2 million si really much,if we look at other way it actually isn't.The owner of warrior forum putted years and years of effort in the forum. If i would be on his place i wouldn't sell it even for 10 million and it seems freelancer is expanding his empire
With $3.2 mln Allen Says can just go to Bora-Bora and relax for several years. Hope the forum will get really more serious. Not surprise that there in Web exists a warriorforumsucks.com which also has lots of crap, but ... I'm sure most of their "uncovers" are true scam stories
Considering how many people Freelancer scammed, I'm not really surprised that they have so much money...
A good paycheck for Allen for years of hard work. Crappy or not, such a huge community does require a lot of effort. I have recently joined the community and it seems OK. I'm not interested in drama though and, for someone who's there to learn something and enjoy the community, it's a good forum, just like any other forum I registered in.
To Freelancer, it's just a small sum to pay for WF, but for WF it will lose its original followers cause of changed of ownership to a big company which resulted lost in personal touch.
Haha good answer I've always wondered too. Back in Oct 2013 this was posted: http://techcompas.com/digitalpoint-highest-adsense-earner/ The author claims the forum earns half a million a month. I wonder how far or near this is to the truth
I think only one person actually knows the truth.. But I really doubt Shawn will reveal such informations. Usually, people hide such things from public because they don't want to risk to someone finds about how profitable something like this could be.
Yeah that's true.. everyone has there own idea how much it's worth and how much it makes on a monthly basis.
Haven't visited WF for a long time, even tho I'm War Room member. I think selling that forum is bad move. I believe the owner of WF able to make several hundred thousand bucks per month. Or am I overestimating?
WF was sold. It happened a few months back. http://techcrunch.com/2014/04/15/freelancer-buys-warrior-forum/
