Warning. Wordpress sites have just suffered major hack attack

    I have just had 15 Wordpress sites hacked by Musti - Le0rex

    Here's a sample of how the index pages now look:

    http://www.chinatourist.org/

    Internal pages are okay except that meta titles and footers have the hacker's text.

    Are these sites easily fixed by replacing back up copies of the index pages?

    I just checked your code and noticed that you are using age old WordPress version. If version is old, then hack is excepted.

    Just upgrade your WP.

    Hi Rod,

    Keeping your WordPress version up to date is indeed the best protection you can have for your WordPress sites. Make it a point to upgrade whenever a new stable version of WordPress is available.
