100% positive it's due to a bad advertiser at one of your sites.

You may recall these layered-adverisements you see on some sites. These often have questionable content and link to sites with malicious content. Sites with such advertisements often carry the "Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!" warning. My suggestion: let your client review his advertisers and get rid of shady advertisers. Then ask for a re-review at stopbadware.org to get removed from the blacklist.

Either way, take this serious. Being blacklisted at google will hurt.

Yeah, that is not up to you but a selection of wrong advertisers or wandering hackers that sometimes upload mischievous files to your site inadvertently.

I would suggest take deviataz advice.

once you get on the Google malware listing, even if they remove the notice i don't recall anyone ever fully regaining their SERPs and/or traffic even after several years. your client should consider getting a new domain name.

I had the same problem with one of my site popup/popunder was serving advertisment from a rogue site which was infecting visitors to the site. I had contacted the ad network and educated about the rogue advertiser.

    hi digga121,

Your website is a dynamic website. I believe there are two reason for the above warning:
    • Bad Advertiser
    • SQL Injection
I believe you understand Bad Advertiser. SQL injection is very common these days. Many hackers attacks your database. So whenever there is a query generated, there javascript code gets executed. These javascript code installs lots of malicious software to the user computer.

For information about SQL injection, you may follow
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SQL_injection
    http://googleonlinesecurity.blogspot.com/

I would recommend to check & clean your database & then submit request for review in Google Webmaster Tools.

    All the Best! :)

    Regards --Ann
