Warning to Webmasters, it can happen to you

Thats really bad news and I am sad that his had to take place to such a Site.

 

This goes to show what happens when you have a good website, but a terrible business plan. Know this people: It's NOT enough to get boatloads of traffic. Tons of people could love your site, without you netting a dime a day.

 

I made an offer of $3,000 a few days ago, but havent received a response. I'm not sure why he wouldn't want to reclaim some lost time...
Some possible theories:
- Perhaps he feels that he doesn't want to appear as a sellout.
- Could be a case of, the members didn't do enough to save the site and he feels that they don't deserve to have the site.
- Or maybe its if I can't run it, noone can....

The way I see it, everyday that he leaves it, the value will be reduced.

 

It's really shocking to see such a popular forum going down this way.

 

That might be the reason behind closing the forum.With such a huge traffic, no one can expect the site going through money loss.

Don't think they will bring it back, to bring this back, someone will need to invest $1,000 to outlay a multiple server combination...
Then outlay 3 -6 months worth of losses while the site gets re-organised.
Possible around $6,000 and the owner will have to be bought out.
Or a deal worked out, so you may be looking at $10-15k for partnership or $30-$40k to get outright...

If you want to get in contact, make contact via myspace page, the administrator of that page was 2nd in charge of soccerpulse and knows the owner.

Personally its good for football to have that site back..

 

Yeah, i really love soccerpulse but the admin failed in one aspect: monetization. Hopefully, there will be another great forum come up.
