I just found out today my Digg account has been disable for no reason. those of you who have been exchanging diggs with me know that I have been posting high quality articles that were original content. It seems the lowlifes at Digg do not appreciate people making friends on forums and using their services and digging quality content. It's time to leave Digg behind because they are obviously NOT a social networking site, they are a bunch of fascists. DIGG=CRAP - time to move on to a new service like Reddit
If you have original content then you dont need digg kind of sites as you will anyway get real traffic from SE's which is permanent lifetime traffic rather than a short term one.
I never used digg, all of those articles seem to get racist and hateful comments...just like youtube videos...
I think he was really fed up with digg's action. They'll do tlike that only. Only the tricker can get good amount of money thro' digg.
After I made stumbleswap.com, I was going to do a digg exchange service based off of the same principle. But I found out that they have been checking a lot of suspicious accounts and banning them. So if you're going to do Digg exchanges, do them at your own risk.
Ya I never really submit to digg either. It seems like a small group of people control what makes it to the front page. Digg is like google, it works off of black magic. Some stories get 1000+ diggs and get stuck on page 2, others gets 113 diggs and make it to the front page. I'm not interested in understanding how or why.
That's BS, you are violating their TOS and cheating their system, yet you call them lowlifes LMAO, you don't even know how digg works
OK genius, please explain this to me. Digg is supposed to be a "social network", so pray tell, how are you supposed to make friends ? Cheating their TOS? huh ?? 99% of the people on Digg, digg their own stories first because it's not like a visitor to a blog is going to digg and comment on your story for you. Let me educate you to something Mr. Smartypants, the average web user goes to a page to grab of gleam what they are looking for and promptly bails. The only way to build a community is to meet people in forum threads, etc.. So you tell me, Mr. High and Mighty, how does one build a social network? If you don't have an answer you can just remain silent.
ha ha you are as funny as that guy who sued google because they disabled its adsense account after he clicked his own ads. He said that he was clicking his own ads to test them if they are working properly No shit, so you were breaking the TOS and you complain that you get banned? What the hell, i have nothing against those who break tos, but those who start and cry cause they have been banned are just pathetic.
Wow, some heat going on here. Digg disables user accounts if it suspects spam. That's how I see it. And I am not sure about 99%, but yes many people do digg their own stories which results in a bad user experience. [ QUOTE=Bryce;4461026]OK genius, please explain this to me. I had a digg account about 6 months ago, and I just made 2 diggs. Then they banned me! I really hated that site ever since then. They think if they ban people randomly they will stop the digg exhanges/services. Idoits!
Who said digg is social network? social bookmarking is not the same as social network. 99% of story are digg by site owner because that 99% are crap that didn't get picked up (just like your's) Digg user "discover" story on other people blog, even it won't benefit them. You might not believe it (cause that won't happen to you site/blog) go try reddit, i will see a "warning - stay away from reddit" in near future btw, i cheat digg too, but instead of getting caught, i got on front page, and the link love is really sweet
I agree fully about Digg being controlled by a small group of people. I see those 1000+ digg articles that are basicly garbage. Again, you can look at my blog and see why I was getting dugg. I presented many informative and helpful articles regarding SEO, affiliate programs and Wordpress modifications. One article had over 60 diggs, ironically, that article was a Wordpress hack on how to add a Digg button to your wordpress blog. I would appreciate any comments on my blogpost today (see next to my username here). My blog is "do follow" so your comments will get you a backlink. I've already grabbed 15 backlinks to the post in the last few hours so it is definitely a good post to comment on. Additionally, I was going to take down my old directory and create a Press release site on it (it's PR4) but now I'm going to build an alternative to Digg which truly allows "social networking", anybody interested in the link, PM me and I'll notify you when its finished. It should probably take me only a few days to finish it.
No need to use profanity especially when you're wrong. If you think my articles are crap, just look at tha garbage in your signature. AliveDirectory??? Well, you'll be sorry when google devalues your link selling schemes. Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black. Grow up man. As far as "cheating" Digg, I'll be sure to report you now that you've admitted it. People like you think you know what you're talking about but you're really clueless.
Sorry to hear you were banned. Just curious, did u send your conerns to digg as well, or get any feedback as to why you were banned from them? Is there anytype of appeal process, like "Umm..I think you made a mistake here", or do they have any service of this type?
They list a few contact emails and I sent one to support but no answer yet. The problem is that there is a certain person who was outed as a spammer and a hyip scammer who is now using Digg and DP forums to ply his trade. My business partner, friends and I have been posting warnings about dealing with this person and he keeps making phony reports to servivces like Digg etc and has even gotten me a handful of warnings unfairly here. I'm learning that trying to protect people from scammers here on DP only get's you warnings here which isn't cool. The guy even pointed his DNS for a few domains he blew out spamming at IP's on my dedicated server thus routing all his bounced spam towars my partner and my sites. We had to have PEER1 decommission the IP's in question and have PEER1 contact his registrar Enom to remove his domains permanantly. I'm sure he is the one who made a report against my digg account because it wasn't just mine, it was three of my friends who had their accounts banned today. This guy even reported fake Paypal transactions in an attempt to get my friends Paypal blocked. Honestly, if you look at a few of my articles... http://www.affiliatebestprograms.com/2007/07/28/how-to-get-indexed-by-google http://www.affiliatebestprograms.com/2007/07/24/wordpress-hack-most-popular-articles http://www.baseballtalkpro.com/blog/2007/09/06/mlb-nl-mvp-award-for-2007-who-will-win/ These are lengthy high quality articles that took me hours to write. Each had between 25-60 diggs only. The guy I mentioned above has even stolen our content and put it on his blog... I might sound pissed off because I am. I work hard to be White Hat SEO and it gets on my nerves when somebody like "ahkip" boasts he's cheated to get to the top of digg.. Lastly, I run a quite succesful forum similar to DP and I do have a strong member base who subscribe and Digg my articles. I also noticed many of my friends Digg accounts were banned today as well.
why would they care about SEO and affiliate program. That like pushing porn to monk.. http://sphinn.com/ is where you should submit your stuff to... I don't own alivedirectory. I wouldn't show any of my site publicly on DP. I wish i own it though cause it made a lot of money for it's owner. If you want to report me, go ahead, i wouldn't waste my time on some useless forum member who is clueless like myself though
digg's digg system isn't really meant to have people abuse it by asking others to go click on it. It was meant to bring the informative and unique stories to the front, not the ones that were spread around enough among the forums to bring useless information to the front page.
