I posted a reply to a BST thread with my domain.
A few hours later I got a warning and my post was deleted.
I noticed all the replies to that thread has been deleted, not only mine.
I don't want to go into the details.
Because if an authority of this forum wants to delete your post and give you a warning, you can do nothing. Nothing can help you including the rules unless you wrote the rules.

so you broke the rules and got a warning...what's your point??...it's not worth crying about
This forum was a scammers/spammers haven before the changes, it's a hundred times better now IMO

    I don't cry.
But I am sure you're gonna cry when this forum became a very small place for the owner and a few moderator. This forum is dying. I am giving a feedback. You are here since 2009. I am here since 2006.
I had enough time to read the rules.

Wrong.. i don't cry either, just despair at whingers who just can't cope with change, and what makes you think the forum is dying??.. thats the stupidest thing i've heard yet.
Seeing as you've been here since 2006 and had enough time to read the rules it's your own fault for not following them...no-one forces you to come here, you can always go and try and find a better forum...lol

If this is your 1st warning (infraction) then I do understand how you feel. No one wants to get them. I used to get *very* upset about them too. In fact to date I've received a total of 22 so far (for real) including one a few weeks ago.
I mean I've gotten them for breaking every rule in the book for example:
"Having too big a carbon footprint"-2 points.
"Contributing to the eventual decline of the dinosaurs"-2 points.
    "Having bad breath"-1 point.
    "Being generally irritating"-1 point.
I was beginning to get paranoid and was even thinking that the mods were inventing these warnings just to get me!

I'm new on this forum,so I don't know how it looks before five, six or seven years ago but I'm sure now that if this forum is stupid (your opinion) you have no reason to post threads. No offense,I'm just giving my opinion.

It sounds like your response was only useful to the seller and should have been sent via PM. It's definitely not a new rule and been there for many years, as far as I know. It's just a warning, maybe they hurt, but I doubt it. A warning doesn't mean you are banned (just ten points does). They eventually expire. Don't worry so much about it.

I see, mostly replies in buy and sell sections are just 4 to 6 words. Look like a spam. i hope, you are not posting reply like this.
    Anyway, be careful next time.

I'm wondering if the thread creator read the BST rules/official DP rules before creating this thread.

I agree with you. I don't want to create new content on this forum and I think I am not alone.

It was a WTB thread. I posted my domain with age, price and other information. Even I posted a screenshot of its appraisal.
It was about 4-6 sentences not words. The person was looking to buy an old domain. I have an old domain. I could PM him. But I wanted create a new post. Because I know he is not the only 1 person who looks for an old domain to buy. It's same as creating my own sales thread. If I am not allowed to reply to a WTB thread then it means BST section even all the sections of this forum are no longer helpful. ALL the replies were deleted not only my post. There were about 5-6 replies other than my reply. ALL of them were deleted.

There are many members feel like me. People will stop visiting this forum. That's my point on this thread. On the other hand, I am only a user. I can find another forum.

LOL, Mulder and Scully will be out to investigate ASAP. They are busy with all the other conspiracy theories regarding Google and DP, though.

Don't select a poll close time if you don't want it to be closed? Would be my guess.

Threads are for feedback and questions - if you are actually trying to do the deal you need to use private messages (old forum) or conversations (new forum). This rule has been around for a really long time. You hadn't noticed that was how it worked?
Its not the same - what you were really doing was trying to hijack that guy's thread!

same thing , I replied to a post in links sales section - got deleted with a warning. Maybe the rules should say to NOT post at all, and only pm? There is another reply after me in that thread like spam with email addy, not deleted. Interesting.

So, we cannot post reply in Link sales section? Okay, I didnt know that.

Some time back i got a couple of warnings when i sent pm to the guys who posted in BST for a deal and when i saw the warnings i was like WOOT?? I could have said a WAIT!! Those were replies to offers in the BST!! but i just moved on. Anyway, usually the warnings are given just to remind people that the site has some rules to be followed so, recheck the rules and try to keep them in mind, next time.
