Warning - Paypal fraud Email going around

    Just a heads up:

I got an email from paypal that looked like a legit paypal email, but the content fo the email was very strange, and they said "Dear paypal member" (which is the first sign of fraud)

The content of the email was to let me know that my account had been indefinitely suspended, And they told me to click a link. The link was back to the paypal sign in page, but the address in the address bar was a bunch of code. Must of been some type of key tracker of sort.

I have reported this to paypal - They are very helpful in these matters. Please report this to paypal is you get the same email.

Hope I have helped. Take care.

Sure np, it's a common thing. I also do get them about 10-15 times a day, they just end up in my spam box.

Also look out for ebay password phishers. You may get an email that looks identical to ebay's when a potential buyer has question. Then when you click "respond now" it has you login to a very real looking ebay login page to respond from "my ebay". Then you'll probably find some expensive item listed on your account and you'll be stuck with the hefty listing fee.

This is just something to show how hard people try to screw someone else out of their hard-earned money.

These phishing emails go out quite a bit. One way to help is to use a specific email for Paypal - like . This is what I do to help out

I got one once from Chase telling me that they would give me $100 for completing a survey. I almost fell for that one.

Another one going around is when eBay tells you that you bought something but the buyer has not heard from you. Basically, never click on any link - go to their site and that information should be there when you sign in.

transfer your domain and see what happens, at least that's what I'm thinking. I recently did and spam went from 50 to over 130 a day in the last 2 weeks.
I picture a website that explains the latest scam because many are the same topic each day. I stopped sending to spoof@ because there are just too many. A lot of the abuse@ are the scammers so that is no help. I also like the fact of where they originate, which would make any US laws against them worthless. blocking senders takes too much time. my list of complaints goes on forever so I'll let it go now. my hard drive scans should be finished soon so I can actually work on the site after five viruses came through today. three hours of my day wasted for these emails. I almost deleted something I was waiting for.
