WARNING: Mickey is NOT REAL!

If you are an American you are all to familiar with Mickey.

Lots of people make the mistake of thinking mickey is somebody worth listening to simply because he says so. The truth is, he is a loser you should ignore.

In fact you are a fool if you ever listen to one word he says.

If he COULD speak, and you had a conversation with him, he would tell you how great he is and that he has magical powers and has this big kingdom and a hot little wife.

The truth is, his tales are much longer than his tail, both of which are fake.

The reality is Mickey is a fictional, made up character, with no power and no kingdom and no family.

He is a joke, a cartoon, a game for little children to point thier fingers at and laugh.

Many who see mickey might be fooled into thinking mickey actually knows something.

He knows nothing except what is handed to him on a script. He has zero intelligence.

Mickey is not in business, or even a business himself, he is just a glorified sales rep for other business.

Fans and regular people can not recognize this subtle distinction. But anyone who is a real business person themselves sees right through his fake costume immediately.

The truth is "Mickey" is just some guy in a cheap suit....this same guy in 5 minutes will be Goofy or Donald or whoever....none of them are real, and the guy inside just plays whatever fake character he can to make about 10 bucks an hour.

Yes he will actually come and talk to you disguised as someone else. One minute he does one thing and is some big eared hot shot from the "Kingdom" and the next he is some webby guy from "austrailia" and the next he is flipping your burger at the concession stand...all the while pretending to be runnng the show.

Don't fall for the sales pitch of Mickey Mouse Marketers....if you are going to do business, deal direct with an executive.

People with education, training, experience and a track record are the types you want to associate with. Most importantly, you want to work with people who are decion MAKERS, not the followers.

REMEMBER: Mickey does not actually run anything at all. He makes no decisions and just moves around making a lot of noise while waving his hands around.

Just because you see him often, does not make him a leader. In fact it proves just how little he actually does.

Disney is the business... Mickey is just some punk kid in a mouse suit.

If you are about business, don't waste your time on a mindless mouse. Instead, go to the people at the top who create such brands and make mickey just one of the many who are miserably working for such puppet masters.

If you should happen to see Mickey, pull his tail and laugh for me, and enjoy your stay at the Magic Kingdom created by the real business people at Disney Corporate who understand how to get your entertainment dollar.

Interesting idea and I agree with it but what about one thing...

Why skip the guy at the bottom of the ladder? Sometimes you will find that the 'mickey' has more drive and determination than the guys at the top. Maybe talking with him will lead to new opportunities and inspirations that you never knew existed. What if he is 'the creator's ' nephew and an easier way to get to the top?

All I'm saying is don't forget the little guys. Everyone has to start somewhere. Even Disney.

It is not about forgetting or ignoring the little guy.

If it was the owners nephew...the fact he is at an entry level position shows he is not trusted with the higher responsiblities. If he was a "fast way" to the top...he would be at the top himself.

It doesnt even work on the small scale.

If YOU want towork at the concession stand, you don't talk to the guy working the fries...you could but it doesnt help. After you spend all this time with the determined and driven fry guy, you STILL HAVE TO SPEAK TO THE HIRING MANAGER....and the manager is not going to consult with the fry guy before making a hiring decision.

You can talk to as many "little" guys as you want...in the end, no matter what they think - you have to start all over when they go talk to the big guy they answer to.

As I said, Mickey has No responsibility and No authority.

Mickey does not get to decide who does what, when or how...not even himself. He doesn't sign any checks, make any schedules and is no included in meetings that guide the company's direction.

any salesman will tell you, their first job is to get past the gatekeepers and get to the decision maker.

When you ask mickey a question, he cannot answer it, because he does not have the most current information. He only knows what he is told. And even if he likes what you are proposing, he can't help you because he does not have the authority to commit Disney Resources. He also can not hire you, and once hired, he can not fire you. He is powerless.

Walt may have started small, but he started in charge...if you are not dealing with the people in charge, you are wasting your time, because ultimately they have to approve whatever you are doing in the end.

Drive and dertermination are meaningless without power and authority.

Time is worth more than any amount of money

There are only 24 hours in a day...there is an unlimited amount of money you can make in a day.

When you spend money, you can always make more and replace it....you can not replace or get back time.

Don't waste time with any Mickey's

Hi good interesting write up about 'Mickey'. I assume you mean the Mickey in the Disney Theme Park. I havent been there so far, I hope to visit there some day, but I can understand what you are trying to say in a humorous manner.
