There is a big problem on ebay with most Chinese sellers selling items like memory cards, USB flash drives and MP3 players claiming 2 , 4 , 8 , 16 or 32GB memory. Don't be fooled by their good feedback ! Most people trust and do not test until the horse has bolted ! When you connect them to your computer, they will show the capacity claimed, however they are hacked to do this, and in most cases they will have less than half of it. You can record the claimed capacity on them, but you cannot retrieve the information, because the initial available part of the memory has been overwritten and corrupted. You do not have to buy anything to help you sort out the good from the bad. Just download a very small free program called " H2testw" from Google. It will fill your device with numbers and letters in 1000Mb lots and then try to read it back . If your device works as claimed it will tell you, if not, it will tell you which part of it is OK and you can reformat it to the actual capacity. Please do not bid on this item, because all you get is the information I have alredy given you, plus any help if you need it. The whole idea is to make ebayers aware of those hackers out there. Infamous sellers of confirmed hacked items include ebay sellers " whatcools" " 3totrade" and "szeho663"( all the same identity) and "lianghk" and many more. yes you are correct, I bought 5 usb pens from these chinese and hong kong sellers. All are corrupted after few days. I got refund from few sellers. So i forgot everything. Don't buy these cheapest products. Trust a known brand like kingston, imation etc.
