Ok I used dreamhost... then my site was going down everyday for 5-6 hours.. then last month it went down for a 5 days in a stretch..

overall my site was down 20% of the time.. and there is no support.

Last mail i sent to them was rude saying.. my site is down get it back up.. they come back say that my blog which receives 2000 visitors a day was taking 73% of server resources... bull shit!

next thing I know, they ban my account for SPAM, without any warning or discussion.. or justification.. no warning nothing.. they steal all my files, database and content. And I lost my content built over 7 months.

I had booked a domain via them.. and they refuse to give the domain transfer key.. I am lodging a complaint with ICANN againt these over selling assholes, who dont even provide support and ban sites if they cant solve the complaint.

I sent them over 3 mails.. but they wont reply... FUCKING SCAMMING assoles...

You'll probably have to take them to court, and the sooner the better.

I have been using Dreamhost for about 3 years. Within the last year their service has gone way downhill. Tech support hasn't had much advice to offer except "Sorry, it was just this once," except every individual problem adds up. I feel for you as far as the downtime goes, and I know you aren't the first to be told by them that your site was using too much CPU resources. Did they even tell you what kind of proof they had that you were spamming? That is pretty disturbing. What if someone was abusing a script on your site and you didn't even know? One would think if you were paying them, they would at least try to work with you to find out the cause of the problem and not immediately point a finger at you.

I'm currently shopping for another host because they flat out told me that they don't think it is worthwhile to put a generator in their facilities when their UPS has to be worked on. This comes after last year they had a string of denial of service attacks and they STILL haven't built redundancy into their systems. It's starting to get pretty disappointing. Again, all they have to say is "Sorry our relationship doesn't seem to be working out."

It's a real shame that they are having so many problems. I have recommended them to so many people in the past and gotten them plenty of new customers. One of them ended up getting a refund because of the CPU overusage thing. How embarrassing to me.

If anyone has better experience with another host for around the same price, feel free to pm me some suggestions.

Go with HostGator, as far as I know they are the best hosting providers and their support gets back in a few hours.

I would go with Servage.. They have the best hosting offers for the best price, I've been using them for 2 years now and It's just been inproved more and more.

Great support, you get replyed in just a few hours(1-5).
And they always have GREAT offers and stuf.

Well, if anyone thinking about signing up dont forget to use promocode/coupon " uspromo " gives you a lot of bonuses!

    Best Regards

They're a good host in my opinion, but they just have too many rules.

I prefer Servage over them though - give them a try.

I just got a new host. I regret prepaying a year. At least I only paid ~$20 after coupons though

    They really are junk.
