WARNING: Do Not get Complacent with Adsense!

A year ago I was using Adsense to some degree of success in 3 or 4 Websites, so much so that it allowed me to go on holiday for a week, when I came back and logged into my Adsense account for the first time in a week I was shocked and somewhat dismayed to find my account had been closed down and all my codes in each site disabled! I messaged Adsense and got very vague answers back telling me that over the past few days my Adsense Ads had been clicked on illegally thousands of times, I obviously explained to them that it was impossible for me to ave had any part in this and I did not know anything until getting back from holiday... they did not want to listen to anything no matter how much I tried to explain, I was judged, sentenced and hung out to dry with no chance of defending myself!

All I will say is please let this be a warning, it hasn't been possible for me to start up another Adsense account as they log all your details, I was starting to earn quite a bit and then got treated in such an outrageous way due to some discrepancies happening with my Adsense Ads which was absolutely no fault of my own... They Will Not listen to you regardless! just don't put all your eggs in the one basket because if you get stung, like I did, you need something to fall back on...

Please be aware Adsense can be ruthless and very quickly!

Yeh, I would urge everyone to look at their account once a day at least. This would avid any nasty surprises you may get if you are a way for a few days.

Not that looking at your account will do any good -- the decisions are not in your hands.

The decision whether to close down your account or not is in the hands of some fellow in a sweat shop in some third world hellhole who is making $2/hr to reduce Adsense fraud.

I guess they are that successful that they can afford to simply sweep you under the carpet without an investigation, what would you suggest if the same happened to you?

Your hellhole may be my dream job. I am not pampered, entitled, arrogant, soft. I will take over your world one day soon.

Well there isn't much you can do really. The best thing is to keep an eye out for suspicious activity but that's also nearly impossible. Luckily there are many other affiliate programs you can try out :D

Yep, luckily none of this affected the other affiliate links I had, I still use Share-A-Sale quite successfully and a couple of other affiliate programs one of which is a Goldmine! and just doesn't stop escalating, even to a point where I no longer need to advertise it is so viral...

True, but by keeping aclose eye on the sats will allow you to keep track of the proceedings that may have led to the ban.

Hmm, just make sure you either carry a laptop or connect to the internet daily whilst on holiday then! bearing in mind, I was only gone for 7 or 8 days and had no influence on any of this apart from not checking online throughout that time... Just be careful...

im not a premium publisher.. i use my 2 registered business and i register some of my well trusted friend of mine and family members. i just gave them 10% commissions. and i think this is not against the TOS as long i dont do click frauds or anything... since they banned my 1st account again i start to separate my websites on 4 accounts.

    not true...

if you log into your account at least twice a day, you will learn it's pattern and if you see anything out of the ordinary, you can email adsense so they can take a look to avoid the trouble

Eodcoin: Sorry for your loss,my earning from adsense is currently outperforming my work income, so I would hate to see that happen to me :(

A tip for those earning from adsense: NEVER! tell people you dont trust (or better yet, dont tell anyone at all) about how you earn money with adsense, even your friends... you brag too much.. they'll get jealous and can get you banned in a number of ways..

    AND

Dont post on your site or tell your users "Not to click on your ads or you'll get banned" ... that in itself is an invitation to a clicking spree for those visitors that your site failed to satisfy.

Thank you tdotn for the kind words, I certainly wouldn't want what happened to me to happen to anyone here who use Adsense as their main source of income, you are right in as much as not to let people know your URL that is adsense ad heavy, there are a lot of unscrupulous people out there who will think nothing of sitting at their computer clicking an ad thousands of times!!!

Just be very careful and keep an eye on all your sites - daily! if at all possible!
