Interesting topic. I downloaded a adsense placement plugin when I relaunched my newest site and also saw a drop in the earnings. It turned out that the developer stole 5 % of the ad views and I had to manually remove the code to get all of the earnings myself. Which plugin did you use?

This could happen to any script, modification, plugin, or other. The free things you might see it a bit more, but it can be in pay ones too. Of course not everyone out there is totally honest. Other times I've seen they put code for sample's and it's up to the end user to change it to there code. At any rate it's always a good idea to check the code of anything you intend to add to your site. Some of the sneakier ones will even encode it a bit. I haven't had a problem, but I've seen some out there in the past.

Good Advice...once you start making big bucks its time to buy one so you don't get these guys putting their ads on your site

    Yeah it sucks.

And the worst part is Wordpress allows these plug ins on their site, thats why I thought they were legit and werent gonna have any problems with ad hacks.

But I was naive I thought oh since I found it on wordpress.org the plug in is legit cause why would they allow someone to post a faulty or sneaky plug in but they do.

Try to get a reputable theme or template maker from the USA. UK or Canada.

There's a simple solution.. Check the files of the plugins / themes you install.. *sigh*

It really isn't difficult to open each file, type "pagead" and see if it finds any adsense code.. (or change it relatively to suit whatever you're actually searching for..)

    True indeed.

Yeah, if you know a little code you can fix this problem easily. Otherwise find someone who can fix it for you.

Probably, every free theme developers normally looks for some money gain. before install, we have to check the theme file case study.
