    Hi,

I want to let everybody know that the user "shortd81", who is the Star of the Quick Bucks Crew (scammers list website), ripped me in a $500 money exchange, I sent him $500 he was supposed to take 7.5% and send me the rest by Western Union, but instead, he sent me $260 and then told me that Western Union stole from him.

In my opinion, shortd81 is the biggest scammer ever to come to DigitalPoint.i contacted him the middle of April and then after about a week, when I felt comfortable with him, I agreed to make the exchange. I paypal'd him the $500 on April 23 and in 3 or 4 days he sent me a partial payment of only $260 via money gram. He stated that the rest of it would be on the way and I trusted him.

I left him a positive itrader and everything, never thinking my new "DP friend" would scam me over the balance. He made the excuse that Western Union had "stole' his money  for why he couldn't complete the transaction, after i left him a +1 itrader. shortd81 even told me during this time that he is going to sue Western Union for stealing his money(this is just 1 of his many creatives excuses)

For a while (from May 21st until now) he was even banned from DP..why? go figure..only the mods and the scammer know for sure. Then (2 months now since the transaction) after I kept sending him emails, he told me that he will send me my other $175 in about 10 days. Now 1 month has passed by and he has continued ignoring my emails and has not sent my money. He is also back on digitalpoint pulling his same tricks, I'm sure.

This the 5th time that someone has started a thread or complained about being scammed by this professional scammer known as shortd81, Obviously the warnings are doing no good because he keeps scamming people and some are very Reputable digitalpoint members:

he also scammed many more members look at his 6 negative Itraders :

I know that I will never again see the $175 :(. I gave him more than 3 months to pay me and even offered him the option to split the payment into 3 parts today by pm. I just don't want him to Scam another person on Digitalpoint, i dont want what happened with me to happen to you too, so this is just to warn you guys, he is back after a 2 months Ban so stay away from this guy.

    cheers.
    mario

I agree it is important to make the other members aware of such dealings with common thieves. It just goes to show you that people on the internet are not always what you think they are.

    Be careful DP members.

thats because when he scam you, if you leave him a negative i itrader, he will leave you a negative one too  , thats why so many people who got scammed didnt leave him a negative itrader :( , being scammed + getting a negative itrader is a nightmare.

I wish that DP and other well known forums could have a box that lists the number of irreputable traders and their rakings. Maybe a box that lists the thread numbers that these scammers were a part of also.

I really hate doing work for people only to get shafted in the end.

Wow.. I'm surprised he hasn't been stopped after those other scams. AND lucky you didn't lose the $500. Hopefully people will be warned now :) so it's not a complete lost.
