    Actually I know some people whose names are Bahareh. But which one is your friend? ;)

    By the way, you said "salam" instead of "hi", so you must know Farsi. Have you learnt it from your Iranian friend?

    It's very nice to see someone from another part of the world can speak Farsi - even if a littel! :) And yes, of course I understand what you mean from "godavess" - even though it's "godafez". You mean "goodbye". It's my language after all! ;)

    If someone says "helow" for example, I'm sure you understand he means "hello", right?

    It's pretty hot. It will get up to 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) today. I can't wait for the winter to come. I really miss the nice cold weather! How's the weather over there?

    Wow, that's HOT :eek: It was sunny and warm in England yesterday morning and then it rained quite heavily from the afternoon on... Now it's about 20 degrees C with rain clouds and sunny spells; it's quite pleasant though I wish the sun would stay out :)

    Well, 35 degrees C is not very hot for Tehran. The weather got up to 42 degrees C last week. It's funny people in England always wish to see the sun and people over here wish it goes behind the clouds! ;)

    Of course I like the sun in winter because it's warm and calming. But in summer... no thanks! :)

    Welcome to DP, Ladan :) I'm still a newbie myself but it's indeed an interesting and friendly community, and unlike many similar sites, not limited to just an all-American audience.

    In my life I've been lucky enough to have known several good Persian friends, who gave me a lasting appreciation of your culture, as well as Persia's place in the broad swath of history that ultimately also shaped the Western world. I hope someday to make an extended visit to your country, should the political climate and situation prove more hospitable.

    For the time being, I'm enjoying the sunshine in southern Spain, where the temperatures are currently almost as hot as you have there :cool:
