I am hosted in Canada. My host allows warez linking.

Is it legal to have a warez linking forum?
I have proper disclaimer stating the responsibly to the members and not to the site owners not thread starters.

    Is it legal

    PS:I don't have any music/movies stuff.More about symbian warez.

Here is what i can say
    1) If your forum is pretty new, you have nothing to worry about, as big companies do not have the time nor the resources to attack a small forum as they have bigger things to worry about.
    2) I think a disclaimer should help you a little bit and edit the forum contract (the thing you agree to when joining)
    3) Make it not just warez linking forum, make it a software linking forum aka link to freeware as well. And then hide the section and make it registered users only :D

Canada is passing a new law, restricting even the slightest of a music download via limewire, punishable by a $500.00 fine. Supposedly, it is up to the ISP to track such activities, once the law has been passed.

I really don't know what to say, however if they are taking such actions against the end user, imagine what they are planning for the "providers".

Weather governments have laws against linking or not. Its illegal its breaking the copyright laws of the device. Its illegal distribution of a copyrighted product therefor I would have to imagine if you dont get caught for the whole sum of warez linking the owner of the product can prosecute you. along with any or all makers of the items you are illegal distributing on your site. Even if you are offshore and you had linking to norton anti virus for instance. Tho some think "oh I'm offshore i'm fine" norton inc can sue you for illegal distributing there product freely and you can get a HUGE HUGE HUGE fine
