I was wondering if there's anybody else doing wardriving here. I have use my own antenna since 2001 to get neighbor's signal at about 220 feet from my laptop. In 2004, I use my telescope ( a Viking - 114mm diameter) to send 700Mb of datas at 4350m of distance to a cantenna fixed at a 60cm diameter dish. Transfer time: 23 sec !!
I have been using Itunes before and seen neighbors around me with like 1,000's of songs I wanted but never found out how to get them.
Google it. I think it is stumbler.net Check to confirm...I use it all the time for so long, I don't even remember the site...
NetStumbler.com ? I tried building a cantenna before and it was a huge failure. I was trying to access my home WiFi from my mums house (yelling distance), got absolutely nothing. I might get a booster antenna for my house and give it another try one of these days.
Bought a Old ibm t21 laptop half year ago. Install Fodera , Usually what I do is buy a starbuck, then drive around...in to some apartment, ( more people living = more AP ) 5 out of 10 no PW, just connect it...just some pm on this forums then start to click my own AD in all my site :-p . 3 out of 10 using 64bit wep . Take less than 5 mins to crack. 1 out of 10 use 128 bit ( not going to crack this becoz it takes up to 10 mins. 1 out of 10 using Wap.
Yes. That's it. I knew there was a 'net' somewhere... It's amazing to find how many people that actually does not care about security. Anywhere I go, I get some open AP...I don't hack though, I just surf, check my email...
