Apparently a few poeple who know a bit more than we all do, think its a threat so ill go with them.

Plus the fact Iran is not denying it but saying its going to destroy Israel just strongers ones opinion :p

The same people that think Iran is a threat, thought Iraq was a threat.... I'll leave it at that.

and it seems that a lot of people that thought iraq was a treat realize that they were wrong. and we do not want to start another war based on wrong information, inuendo and half truth. lets leave it at this

Not entirely.. Not having a peaceful foot hold in the Middle East is what the ultimate thread was. Now that there is, its only a matter of time, a generation or two perhaps before all of Islam in the middle east is gone..

In retrospect, I would have probably started with Syria, Pakistan, etc..

first of all Iran is diffrent than IRaq

Iraq was under heavy sunction and no fly zone for 10 years.

Iran has apopulaion of nearly 70 million.

IRan is 3 times larger than iraq.

Iran is way to advance you sitting 13000km away on your half broken chair eating popcorn and lecturing about iran.
have u ever been there?!!

Iran makes its own airplan, JEt aircrafts etc..
also its one of the largest exporter of oil.

whit a broken economy and suoring oil price i dont think their will be an attck against iran.

Iran will offer oil at lower prices than the rest and it will be based on the euro not the dollar.

Then you will have certain people screaming for war with Iran.

I doubt it, debunked. If anything, they'll want to profit from it - if they do lower it, it would only be for their allies and friends in exchange for concessions from those countries.

certain people are already screaming for war with iran. they are wrong and there is no need for that.
if another certain people do the same i still would think it is wrong and oppose them also.
dude you are not very good at debating politics.

While ovbiously the USA is much stronger than Iran, people have to stop thinking they are just like Iraq. Iran will put up a much fiercer and bigger resistance, which will result in more bloodshed, so hopefully, this war will never happen.

Yet Iraq nearly won the war with Iran some years ago... Hmm..

The truth is, the majority of the population in Iran is pro-western, would would gladly welcome change. War is not needed in a nation where the people as a whole are for a change. What is needed in Iran is a coup and or revolution.

That is what will happen first.

Did I misinterpret this, or did you call Iraq "peaceful"?

Are you talking about U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon? He never used the term peaceful (as far as I can tell).

When asked to sum up Iraq in one word, he said...
And the first few words in that story are a quote of his:
If I'm missing where he called Iraq peaceful, please let me know. But "notable progress" and "hope" are not synonyms for "peaceful"...

No response to my 10:39 am post? I'd really appreciate a link to a quote where U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says Iraq is peaceful...

No kidding - and he's even my Senator to boot! (One of my elder friends has a daughter in law that used to work as an intern in his office - she hated the job because there was nothing to do.)
