    It's a great way of getting a head, I mean ahead, well, a head too. Just read Tacitus, the Histories... Lot's of heads for the taking, and lots getting ahead too

    Yep smile, no matter what reasons you use to justify these wars, the end never can justify the means. The people who are so gungho about wars usually are the ones who never fought in them in their life, kind of like our ex president bush the chicken hawk.

    sadly the sentence probably is true. people should be motivated by individual efforts - bettering themselves, working for money, raising a family, etc. it's awfully shallow to be motivated by a collective effort, but it seems to happen more often than not.
