There's nothing stopping israel from walking into lebanan and precisely hitting targets. Are planes with large bombs attached the only thing we've been selling them?

I support a ceasefire to end the madness. I support Israel and hezbullah stopping their attacks. It's clear what you support however

Lots of people with guns. Land mines all over the territory that Israel left in 2000. Hezbollah isn't going to let Israel walk in and just kill people.

Cuz they've been so successful in the past? Its not like there hasn't been ceasefires in the past; that didn't work. Let's do it again, cuz it'll work this time!

So you agree. A ceasefire (to end the madness) is doomed to failure, yet you still support it?

Sill no outrage for terrorists hiding behind women and children? I don't know why you keep legitimizing hezbollah for hiding behind women and children by blaming Israel for hezbollah's cowardess actions. Seems like there should be some outrage, but you always seem to twist that outrage around.

There's nothing stopping hezbollah from hiding behind women, children and the UN when firing rockets.

I will answer it for you no problem. The two can not be compared really as the potential loss of life in security forces is FAR less than the collateral damage (civilian loss), because of this they can effectively isolate and negotiate, then force entry. This is not possible with a town in a war zone.

Wars of the future will be fought with laser guided smart bombs, which by themselves limit the collateral damage. The risks to military forces to fly into enemy territory are too great, it could also be a huge trap, as if the enemy knows you will send troops, they are more likely to set such traps.
I have answered yours, now please answer the one I asked earlier. ;)

As Hezbollah know the Israelis are tracking and targeting launch sites, why are they not firing from desert positions?

Hezbullah is a terrorist organisation, acknowledging them or expect them to do anything right is legitimizing them.

Israel on the other hand is a country, that wants to be acknowledged and legit. I'm afraid that's never going to happen when they continuously (time after time) sink to the level of terrorists.

yo yo, Hezbollah IS part of the Lebanese government. they hold ALL 17 seats in parliament for southern lebanon. so they are terrorists, they are also the government, therefore, the government is terrorist. What should happen is that the Lebanese government should suspend the Hezbollah seats in Parliament as happened in northern Ireland assembly when there were terrorist outrages.

I'm not hezbollah so I can't answer your question, I don't know why they do what they do. I would suspect after reading on CNN several things:

    a) the majority of the roads and large trucks in lebanon have been destroyed by israeli bombs, so how do you think they're going to transport all of this into some "desert"?

    b) also after reading on yahoo's "hot zone" it appears many civilians have stashes of firearms and rockets in their homes, and they fire them when they've been ordered to.

So, if your family found a place where there was no hezbullah rockets being fired and you were hiding there in hopes of living to see tomorrow, then some one just starts firing away rockets and you can't just leave... you're fucked because israel refuses to use more caution and restraint in their attacks.

So that's the statement you want to use to acknowledge outrage for hiding behind women and children and the UN?

Got it, I think you more than made the point of the question I asked.

Hiding behind women and children is just as disgraceful as firing rockets and bombs into them. Does that answer your question?

Yeah, I can see how you *really* feel about it after backed into a corner repeatedly. You may now return to your one-way outrage of Israel

    Israel showing their true colors:

Israel has rejected a UN plea for a 72-hour truce in southern Lebanon to evacuate children, the elderly and disabled, insisting the move is unnecessary because it has created a "humanitarian corridor" for aid.

It's quite clear who they're concerned about.
