War in Georgia: George Bush & The Israeli connection

In mid-July, Georgian and U.S. troops held a joint military exercise entitled "Immediate Response" involving respectively 1,200 US and 800 Georgian troops.

The announcement by the Georgian Ministry of Defense on July 12 stated that they US and Georgian troops were to "train for three weeks at the Vaziani military base" near the Georgian capital, Tbilisi. (AP, July 15, 2008). These exercises, which were completed barely a week before the August 7 attacks, were an obvious dress rehearsal of a military operation, which, in all likelihood, had been planned in close cooperation with the Pentagon.

The Role of Israeli Military Advisers

While NATO and US military advisers did not partake in the military operation per se, they were actively involved in the planning and logistics of the attacks. According to Israeli sources (Debka.com, August 8, 2008), the ground assault on August 7-8, using tanks and artillery was "aided by Israeli military advisers". Israel also supplied Georgia with Hermes-450 and Skylark unmanned aerial vehicles, which were used in the weeks leading up to the August 7 attacks.

Georgia has also acquired, according to a report in Rezonansi (August 6, in Georgian, BBC translation) "some powerful weapons through the upgrade of Su-25 planes and artillery systems in Israel". According to Haaretz (August 10, 2008), Israelis are active in military manufacturing and security consulting in Georgia.

For past seven years, Israeli companies have been helping Georgian army to preparer for war against Russia through arms deals, training of infantry units and security advice

Georgia declared a unilateral cease fire a couple days ago, then attacked 12 hours later, after the South Ossetians agreed to the case fire. The only reason Georgia is calling for one now is because they're losing.

All true. The russian forces found a badge, where there is two flags Georgian and American. They just showed it on TV. It says on the back of the badge if it was stolen or lost please send it to and then the american address is there, NOT georgian.

Thats why US blocked emergency call NATO-Russia ;)

    No sane person is surprised.
Like I said before I have strong suspicions Saakashvili had some form of OK from US.

US probably want to make every other major power look bad. China with her human rights, and Russia as "aggressor".

In other words. "This US admin actively seeks confrontations with Russia militarily trough proxes and with China politically".

This admin is not for peace and stability.

Didn't take long for islamists to attempt to find a way to blame Jews. For those who know, this pattern should not be unexpected.

A while back, I saw some comments that seem most appropriate now:

    • America is always wrong and the sole source of all evil. If not America, Britain.
    • Fighting evil is always worse than simply surrendering.
    • A “Jewish Conspiracy” is behind every war that causes Western lives to end.
    • Evil must always be appeased, because it’s unstoppable.
    • Human nature has “changed” and made warfare impossible (this is the pet fantasy of the “War Nerd”).
    • Bad things in general are always the result of a “Jewish Conspiracy”
    • All problems with the world and America can be solved by a fantasy of returning to some golden past.

What is the big deal ? Georgia has been an ally of the U.S. for years, since they broke away and declared their independence. That is what allies do.

I am glad that someone found a way to blame Israel, I would have been disappointed in this forum if you hadn't.

What took you so long ?

Not since they broke, they broke in 1990. Georgia has been an ally of the U.S. since Mr Saakashvili stepped in with all his US-sponsored revolutions, thats better.

Another words, you approve the Georgian attack, right? Not a big deal if you will say that in face to a russian president, but when you do it from the back....you know, its a bit different, isnt it?

Don't put words in people's mouth.

He merely commented on the usual effort to blame things on Israel/Jews regardless of the reality and to make something nefarious out of the fact that there were Americans in Georgia before the incident.

You are trying to spin to excess. When you do that, it makes everything you say suspect.

If, as you think, Georgia wrongly started this conflict, perhaps you should stick to that and stop trying to make this a catch-all event.

Are we supposed to be scared of Putin? Does he have some special powers that make him any different that every other man? I think you have a man crush on him.

Okay, why then people from Israel deny the fact that they helped Georgian military? Why do they lie? If thats a fact.

Unlike you, I like my ex-president, cos your one doesnt even stand next to him ;) Plus I've never mentioned "Putin", I say Russia. You said it first :D He really irritates you? Dats good, it means we are getting stronger.

And yes, you are always scared of Russia (and vice versa), and you know why. You can only attack small countries, with big ones you think twice and can only "criticize" them giving an interview on CNN with a bullsh*t coverage. I dont see how is that diffferent from a soviet system and communism, when your biggest channel lies to people.

Anybody who is not scared of a country with enough Nuclear weapons to end the world as we know it is a fool...especially when they are still stuck in an old world mentality of domination and proving military might.

Am I scared of Putin ? Hell Yes ! He doesn't give a f*ck about anything except restoring "Mother Russia" back to the "greatness" of the 1950's.

Anyone who is jaded and thinks that they still need to prove themselves is a scary individual.

browntwn isnt scared, give him a lesson :D Dont act like a chicken, youve got enough nukes too ;) And thats what saves us all from a direct war, btw.

Hmm, even if we have the "Mother Russia" back, what did it do to you? Or are you so sensitive and thinking about russian people? :) We all know who used the nukes, Russia never used them if you didnt know that. The "Mother Russia" stopped Nazi Germany and you still bash her? Too bad for you.

I have a healthy respect for the weapons and capability of the Russian military. I am no more afraid of saying something to Putin's face than I am anyone else. What is he going to do, nuke me?

I was not dismissing the Russian military power, but mocking your statement that people are scared to say things to Putin's face.

As far as Putin is concerned, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Regardless of what title Putin holds, there is no doubt he is in charge in Russia.

You misunderstood me, and thats ok, since we are different. What I meant is to say it officially, dont stick to the words, "face" etc. and what Putin has got to do with what I said, there are plenty other faces, like foreign minister or UN member from Russia. I didnt get all your post about Putin, seems like this man is doing your head.

and Im glad of that. Enough of drunk Eltsin's who licked US ass and brought the country to a disaster .

Russia is Russia. Ultimate power is the only language these people respect. Small man still thinks he`s doing great history there. Actually really helpful wakeup call for pacifistic Europeans.
