I have a few domains that I want to sell.. but there are hundreds of places online offering to sell.. but its all based on people stumbling on the listing of it for sale.. are any of these methods worth it?

I've been doing a little research and found most want to charge a commission type fee.. and some want you to pay just to list your domains + you still have to pay commission.. and I'm not really sure I just had bought the domains.. starting certain projects that I either no longer have help on.. or just dont have the time to finish them.. and having the domains just sit there is doing nothing for me..

    Ideas greatly appreciated...

First suggestion is trying to get an appraisal. Find out what people think your domain is worth BEFORE selling and committing. So, just ask people on this forum what they think the value is. It's the best way at getting an appraisal. If people think it's worth something, you can then ask for offers.

There are a lot of factors that come into play about the value of a domain. Some people will buy howtodevelopawebsiteonline.com and think it's worth millions when it's worth $0.

You can use webmaster forums like DP to sell your domains for free, Even though you won't get large amount of money selling on webmaster forums but would still be able to make profit if the name is any good.

Sedo allows you to list your domains for free and you only have to pay them a 10% commision if the sale happens. So its pretty safe for you to go for sedo.

Sedo is fairly reliable, though it can take time.

And never pay any of those companies like Godaddy or any other companies for appraisals, they all suck. If you want an appraisal, post on domain forums as mentioned above.
