You can add google adsense in the first place. Then there are so many advertisers who will give you ads like infolinks, kontera, bidvertisers etc. If you installed wordpress, you'll find plugins for all of the advertisers.
There are plenty of affiliate networks that you can join. Commission Junction, Shareasale, and Linkshare are just a few.

I would not put any ads on a new blog wait till your blog is popular and ranking in the search engines before you even think about putting ads on it, this also applies to adsense
You can put ads if your blog is already known. So you must have to promote your blogs so that other sites would put ads on your blogs.

Its too early to earn money on ads if you blog is still new . Never too late to earn money after only you start getting huge traffic because it will be more effective. All you need as starter is how to generate traffic with your marketing and your quality content.
