I'm looking to hire someone to write some articles for a horse racing blog. Some of the articles will be about tracks and their history (like Hollywood Park) and others will be about horse racing itself.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

    1. Have a working knowledge of horse racing. Sorry, aside from a couple simpler articles, Wikipedia and research won't help you here.

    2. Having at least a decent writing ability (I'm not looking for perfection, I'm looking for passion and knowledge).

    3. Have some samples to show.

    4. Be based in the USA, Canada or UK.

    5. Be the person doing the work. I'm not interested in dealing with agencies and people "with writers."

If you meet the above requirements, and you're interested, please PM me with your name, location, URLs to some samples and general rate. We'll go from there.

    Thanks,
    Jason

Sounds good! I love horses but really don't know much about horse racing so if research and loving horses isn't enough, I guess I can't do it. Good luck on your quest

Yeah, it's not a research job. You really have to know horse racing, including wagering, inside and out.

Thanks for the replies. I'm closing inquiries from DP on this.

    Thanks again. :)
