    Hi Guys,

I'm after the assistance of someone who is experienced in setting up and installing forums - I am looking to set up a small business forum for Australians but don't have any idea how to go about purchasing or setting up the forum how I would like it to look.

I am looking to make the forum a similar setup to DP with around 7 or 8 sub-forums - but don't have any idea how to go about setting it up.

If you think you can help me through the process, send me a PM or reply in this thread and we will discuss pricing and details further.

    Cheers, Rob Burton.

If you want to go like dp, you can buy vBulletin. You could check out mine (see my sig) Not quite as good as dp... lol... but you can get it all done, with your own design (not unique design - but a cheapish template), license and set up for around $400-$500.

MyBB is a nice low cost (free for software) solution, and we've had success incubating several new online communities - it's reasonably good to optimise for search.

As for hosting, presumably you'd want to be on a data centre in Australia (and not the US!) ... unless your small business members target a lot of people in the Americas (or Europe, etc.)

    Rob

Other good solutions are IPB 2.2.1 and VB 3.x ... the real trick is developping, nurturing and maintaining the community.

I'll install any forum software you need for just 3 US$, that includes downloading the files from the company's server, uploding to your server, installing it, setting up a database, setting up your forums & sub forums, installing any skin you may want!

im sure there are plenty of people who will install a free forum software (have a look at smf, mybb or phpbb2 for $10 or less, it only takes 15minutes if that.

Obviously for something like vbulletin it would cost about $150 + but just making sure you dont get ripped off, if you have any problems i can find someone that will do it for about $10 for you
