hey Thomas, i have worked with the auction theme, and its based on wordpress, which is very good for seo. WordPress sites are indexed much faster than any other type of sites. I can't find any theme to 1.1.0 webid. When I ask about custom theme his will charge to much... and time is min. 2-3 weeks.
well the sitemile auction theme has two options, either standard auction, like ebay (it even has the automatic bidding assistant and everything replicating ebay) or reverse (can be turned on/off from backend)

you only need the theme it has everything you need, the looks and the auction engine with all the features. The buyer can pay the seller or pay you as the admin of the site (you can choose this from backend however you want your site to be)
