Im looking at making a blog network of 100 or so blogs. Now the first step is obviously the domain name. If you were to make a blog network would you choose all .coms or .infos for the price? Also would you make them all very unique domain names or somewhat similiar domain names? Just looking for your ideas of pros and cons for this before I go out and drop $1000.
I suggest .coms it is more brandable, no matter a bit lengthier even. if you maintain some relevancy, its good.
Not really looking to brand the domain though. Just a domain to setup a blog where it posts automatically and sell links on.
How does it post automatically? If you aren't gonna be trying to go with brandability just go to godaddy and buy the a massive amount of .infos They are 99 cents right now and if you buy bulk i bet you could get a big discount and spend much less than a hundred bucks
Theres wordpress plugins that post automatically. Im still thinking .coms just because I hate .info, but the price difference on 100 domains is around $600. Still undecided.
Actually the price difference is around $900 at least like I said if you act fast. Godaddy is having a 99 cent sale on .infos like I just mentioned. .infos are quickly catching up with .coms you know. They will never ever overtake them but right now they're feeling a hell of a lot more popular than nets and bizs and orgs.
the 'brand value' get involved whatever you do, if you sell links / advertise or expect regular visitors, name value get involved. .coms will cost you 6 times ($555 more) depends upon which registrar you choose.
