    Want traffic? ALT CODE YOUR IMAGES! Screenshot for one of my websites:
    [IMG]

    I give EVERY IMAGE I post alt and title tags. It seems to work wonders.

    A lot of that traffic is just aimed directly at the picture, you should always assume in my opinion that 60% of Google Images traffic won't even see your website and clicking directly on the direct image link up top.

    Exactly, when I search for images, I search for images. I'm not looking for loans or stuff like that...That traffic probably won,t convert very well

    Browning, usually what you do you place the following code into your image src:

    tag="your keywords/phrase here"

    PHP:
    So in an actual image your html would look something like this:

    <img src="my image.gif" alt="your keyphrase" title="your keyphrase">

    PHP:
    does that make sense?

    Either title="" works or alt="". They have the same effect. Most newer programs use the tile="" one.

    I hope this helped!

    if you can, put your website address directly on to your image as a watermark. That way even if they just look at the image, they will at least know where it came from and maybe visit your site.

    Yes, ALT tags on every image is important. It is the alternate text on your image. If your image does not load/show, the reader can still recognize what kind of image you are going to display through the ALT tags.

    Image can't be read by a search engine so it will not give traffic to your site unless you will put alt attribute to your tag that tell the details of your image

    i hear what u guys are saying about google images not bringing traffic to the actual site but this is how i see it....

    There are A LOT of sites out there...A lot which nobody knows about...Am i right?....Now, how many times in google images have you come across a new website u didnt know before?...Granted you may not have visited the actual site but others may....Inquiring minds like to know....Thats a fact....If poeple start seeing images come from a site they arent familiar with (i know i look to see what site its coming from), they may check out the site itself and in return become a regular visitor after awhile....I can say i have become a daily visitor on a few sites myself that way, by looking for things in google images and finding some random site with a picture i happen to click on...

    Any SEO technique is never a bad one i believe...Now only if i can get google to index my images more lol...I think it has something to do with my alt tags like u guys are saying
