Hi, I would like to write a privacy page for a bookkeeping site but have no idea how to or where to start, can anyone advise. The site will not be taking any payments on-line or gathering any email addresses. It is a site for business and others tell me it needs one. I just don't know where to start. Thanks for any help. Paul
If you are not taking any information through your website (payments, newsletters, logins, etc) you do not need to publish a privacy statement. Privacy statements are strictly for informing visitors on how the information they entered on the website is stored and shared.
Even sites that don't take info, generally have one to say something about cookies etc - if you do a google search for privacy page templates and similar terms, there are quite a few sites that will give you a guideline.
You can go here for a policy. It's generic, but it might serve your needs. http://www.disclosurepolicy.org/
